This unique experience combines adventure, nature, and living culture. The hike takes you to the small indigenous community of Tsiöbata, located in the heart of the Cabécar Nairi Awari territory, a remote and authentic area.
During the approximately 10-kilometer journey, with an elevation gain of 450 meters, visitors traverse landscapes of primary and secondary tropical forest, tacotal fields, and pastures, until reaching the majestic Pacuare River, one of the most iconic in Costa Rica. The river crossing is done via a traditional cable car, offering an experience full of excitement and spectacular views. In the dry season, the crossing can be done on foot through the riverbed, always accompanied by experienced local guides.
Upon arriving at the community, visitors have the opportunity to closely learn about the way of life of the Cabécar people, their spiritual relationship with nature, their language, and their ancestral traditions. An authentic experience that combines hiking, cultural exchange, and direct contact with nature.
