The experience:

Discover the surprising landscapes of the Burned Forest on the slopes of the Turrialba Volcano, an area shaped by past volcanic eruptions where nature is reclaiming its space. This unique excursion combines panoramic views, volcanic history, and the opportunity to experience the resilience of Costa Rica's ecosystems.

The excursion begins at Hacienda La Central, located only 28 km (approximately 1 hour) from the center of Turrialba. There are two route options available:

4 km Route – Approx. 2 hours, moderate difficulty.

10 km Route – Approx. 4 hours, higher level of challenge.

Both experiences immerse you in an extraordinary volcanic landscape, offering panoramic views and a close connection with nature.
